The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League and the New England Collegiate Umpires group announced today a three-year agreement for NECU to provide umpires to the PGCBL.

The 2016 PGCBL season was action-packed and yet another one to remember. “2016 was a great year on and off the field. We eclipsed the previous league attendance record and successfully brought in three new teams to the league. We continue to grow and look forward to making 2017 even better for our fans,” said PGCBL President Jeff Kunion.

In their second season of PGCBL play, the Saugerties Stallions brought in a wide talent pool of players to compete during the Summer baseball season. Kevin Hinchey, Owner of the Stallions, purchased the team in October 2015 with a vision to make this team a member of the Saugerties community. He did just that by increasing the attendance at each game a providing a family friendly atmosphere on any given night at Cantine Field. We look forward to the 2017 season!

Vince Lakes, Jr. (Franklin Pierce University) belted a Home Run to deep Left Center Field to power the Stallion’s past the Albany Dutchmen in front of a packed July 4th crowd.

Members of the Stallion’s visited the Albany Medical Center Children Hospital before a game in Albany. Each player walked around the wing giving gifts to children.
