Kevin Napoleon (FR, LHP, Butler University)

Earned two varsity letters at Saint Viator under head coach Mike Manno… All-time school wins leader (20)… Single-season wins leader (11)… Team Captain… Team pitcher of the year… Two-time All-Area selection… ESCC All-Conference selection… School Record for Team Wins in 2016 (25)… Career record of 20-7 with a 2.29 ERA…Member of the presidential honor roll

Sam Russo (SO, C, Butler University)

Freshman Season: Saw action in six games, making two starts… Collected three hits in 10 at-bats to post a .300 batting average… Scored one run… First hit of the year came at Samford (Feb. 19)… Saw two at-bats in the home opener vs. Marian (March 2)… Started as the designated hitter vs. Bradley going 1-for-4 with an RBI double (March 27).

Catcher of the North Canton JLWS World Series Team that won both the regional and state championships… Named 2013 Diamond League MVP… Invited to the PBR Top Prospect game as well as being a Walsh Jesuit SFC Invitee… Perfect Game 2015 Central Region honorable mention… Perfect Game National Top 1000 2015… Prep Baseball Report 2015 ranked 54th overall, listed in Top 10 for Ohio Catchers 2015… Selected to be the catcher for the East Squad in the 2015 Hank Miller All Star Team.
Austin Powell (FR, C, Arkansas State University)
HIGH SCHOOL:
Four-year letterwinner at Star City (Ark.) High School … named to the Under Armour All-American team and Prep Gear All-American team … hit .493 with three homers and 39 RBI as a senior … ranked as the best catcher in Arkansas and 30th best backstop in the country by Prep Baseball Report … three-time all-conference honoree and made the all-state team as a junior and sophomore … made the all-state tournament team as a junior as he helped lead the Bulldogs to the 4A state championship … 2015 stats included a .400 batting average, .505 on-base percentage, 12 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 44 RBIs, and 33 runs scored … also played football … was a member of Beta Club and an honor graduate.

The PGCBL is a 14-team collegiate summer league in upstate New York. Last year, more than 140 alumni were playing professional baseball. The PGCBL is affiliated with Perfect Game, the largest independent scouting bureau in the country. Last year, more 1,500 professional players had either worn the uniform of a PGCBL team or participated in a Perfect Game event.
