The Saugerties Stallions showcased their resilience and offensive prowess in a thrilling 10-6 comeback victory against the Glens Falls Dragons at Cantine Veterans Memorial Field. Despite an early deficit, the Stallions rallied with a potent offense and solid bullpen performance to secure their fourth consecutive win over the Dragons this season.

Early Innings: The Dragons took an early lead, scoring three runs in the second inning off a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Justin Gouveia, followed by an RBI single from Odilio Cespedes. Glens Falls extended their lead to 5-0 in the third inning before the Stallions mounted their comeback.

Saugerties’ Comeback: In the bottom of the third, Saugerties ignited their offense with three runs, sparked by Nate Manley’s two-RBI single that brought home Tyler Bak and Mario Trivella. Justin Ford’s RBI single later in the inning cut the Dragons’ lead to 5-3.

Surge Ahead: The Stallions surged ahead in the fifth inning, scoring four runs highlighted by Ford’s sacrifice fly and RBI singles from Bayrom Hot and Andrew Amato, giving Saugerties a 7-5 lead. They continued their dominance in the sixth inning, adding three more runs with Trivella and Amato contributing an RBI each.

Pitching Highlights: Saugerties’ bullpen played a crucial role in sealing the victory. Nate Williams, newly on the mound for the Stallions from Mississippi State, struck out four batters over three innings and didn’t allow any earned runs. Marciano Neglia delivered a solid performance, conceding only one run over 3.1 innings of relief. Luke Powell closed out the game effectively, securing the 10-6 win for Saugerties.
