Game Highlights
Top of the 3rd: The Stallions started the scoring with two runs. Jarrett May walked and advanced to third on singles by Rich Rodriguez and Tyler Bak. Mario Trivella then walked to load the bases, allowing May to score on a walk and Rodriguez on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Amato.
Bottom of the 4th: Watertown responded in the fourth inning. After a walk and an error placed runners on base, Ryan Kramer capitalized with a three-run homer, swinging the lead to Watertown.
Bottom of the 5th: The Rapids extended their lead with two more runs. Sam Meyer doubled to drive in Mason Collins, and Jeph Hadson-Taylor’s single brought Meyer home, making it 5-2.
Top of the 6th: The Stallions chipped away at the deficit when Ryan Recio scored on a sacrifice fly by Rich Rodriguez following his leadoff single and advancement on a walk and a groundout.
Top of the 9th: In a final attempt to rally, the Stallions scored once more when Tyler Bak reached on an error and scored on Andrew Amato’s single. However, the game ended with Josh Blackmore lining out, stranding the potential tying run.
