The Saugerties Stallions started strong but couldn’t hold off a persistent Albany attack, ultimately falling 5-3 in the first game of the doubleheader. Early runs from the Stallions weren’t enough as Albany chipped away and then surged ahead in the later innings.

Bottom of the 2nd: The onslaught continued with Eddie Yamin driving in two runs with a double, and additional runs from Justin Ford and Ryan Recio extended the lead to 8-0.
Bottom of the 6th: Tyler Bak’s triple and subsequent score on a passed ball capped off the scoring for the Stallions.
