The 2025 Saugerties Stallions are Looking for Home Game Interns!
Are you a junior or senior in high school, a college undergraduate, a graduate student, or someone who just really loves baseball? Become a member of the Stallions family by participating in The Saugerties Stallions Internship Program. The Stallions are looking for interns who are hard-working, reliable people, who love baseball and have an interest in sports marketing, sports management, communications/public relations, journalism, advertising/marketing, and videography/photography.
As an intern you will provide our fans with the best user interface experience along with feature rich applications to encourage fan and sponsorship engagement. The sky is the limit for our ability to engage our fans and sponsors!
Interns will complete their summer internship as part of a college internship program where they will receive college credit. Interns will receive a summer stipend! Interns must live within a commutable distance. Some of our opportunities are:

Social Media Intern
Job Description:
We are seeking creative and driven Social Media Interns to join our dynamic team. As a Social Media Intern, you will assist in managing and growing our social media presence across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and social media strategy while contributing to brand development and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across various platforms.
- Monitor social media channels and engage with followers/fans in real-time.
- Analyze social media metrics and provide insights on engagement and performance.
- Create graphics for Game Day, Lineup, Final Score etc.
- Research trends and competitor activities to suggest creative content ideas.
- Support with community management and influencer outreach.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Passion for Social Media, don’t be camera shy!
- Creative, with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Familiarity with graphic design (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
- Ability to work with others to create content.
Public Relations (PR) Intern
Job Description:
We are looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented PR Interns to assist in promoting our brand and maintaining our public image. As a PR Intern, you will support media relations, content creation, and outreach efforts to help increase brand visibility. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in PR and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting press releases, media kits, and other communications materials.
- Research media outlets, journalists, and influencers for outreach opportunities.
- Complete our pointstreak sheet with stats by following each and every play of the game
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR activities and results.
Requirements:
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Previous PR or media relations experience is a plus but not required.
Photography Intern
Job Description:
We are seeking talented Photography Interns to join our creative team. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in capturing visual content for various marketing and communications initiatives. As a Photography Intern, you will work closely with our creative team to help tell our brand story through high-quality images.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in capturing and editing photos for social media, websites, and marketing materials.
- Work with the social media and broadcast teams to plan and execute graphics
- Edit and retouch images to ensure high-quality visual output.
- Stay updated on photography trends and techniques to contribute fresh ideas.
- Capture in-game shots of the players, coaches, and fans!
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or related field.
- Cameras will not be provided, you must have experience with cameras of your own.
- Previous photography work (please provide a link or samples).
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar editing software.
- Basic understanding of lighting and composition techniques.
- Familiarity with social media content creation and trends is a plus.
Camera Operator Intern
Job Description:
We are seeking an intern to assist the broadcast team in operating our cameras for game broadcasting. This will provide opportunities to work behind the scenes with production and presentation of our live in game and post game broadcasts.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the broadcast camera to display game play
- Assisting broadcast team with any camera work they may need
- One of the most important jobs, as we have thousands of viewers tuning in from all over the country to watch each and every game, we want to provide them with a great broadcast.
Requirements:
- Strong attention span and focus, as you will be watching closely and following each and every play with the camera
- Some understanding of camera angles and shots.
- Passion for film and broadcasting.
Play-by-play broadcaster Intern
Job Description
We are seeking an intern (undergrad student is preferred but not required). To be an on air personality to provide game day commentary at both home and away games.
Responsibilities
- Serve as one of two broadcasters for Stallions home and road games
- Co-host a pregame show prior to each home and road broadcast
- Create and update game notes and game previews throughout the season
- Assist with the development and distribution of relevant game day materials such as stat packs, team rosters, lineup sheets, box scores, and game notes
- Assist with production of the broadcast and equipment set-up/tear down
- Conduct interviews with players and coaches
- Assist with writing post game recaps and press releases for media distribution
Requirements
- Commentating and Broadcasting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in sports play-by-play
- Knowledge of baseball
- Ability to work in a fast-paced live sports environment
- Strong improvisational skills
- Have knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

Sideline Reporter Intern
Job Overview:
We are seeking a confident and engaging intern (preferably an undergraduate student, though all are welcome) to serve as an on-air sideline reporter, providing live game-day insights and interviews for both home and away games. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports journalism and broadcasting while working with the Stallions organization.
Responsibilities
- Live Reporting: Deliver on-camera updates, insights, and analysis from the sidelines during Stallions home and road games.
- Pregame Coverage: Participate in pregame shows, offering expert commentary, player spotlights, and storyline setups.
- Interviews: Conduct live and recorded interviews with players, coaches, and other key personnel.
- Story Development: Research and prepare compelling storylines, player profiles, and team updates to enhance game-day broadcasts.
- Postgame Content: Contribute to postgame recaps by interviewing key players and summarizing game highlights.
- Production Support: Assist with equipment setup and breakdown related to sideline reporting.
- Media Distribution: Collaborate on writing postgame press releases for media outlets.
Requirements
- Strong on-camera presence with excellent communication and improvisational skills.

Sports Producer Intern
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative intern (preferably an undergraduate student, though all are welcome) to serve as a producer for live game-day broadcasts. This role involves managing the behind-the-scenes production of home and away games for the Stallions, ensuring smooth execution of broadcasts and contributing to compelling content creation.
Responsibilities
- Broadcast Coordination: Oversee all production elements of game-day broadcasts, including camera setup, audio, and visual components.
- Pre-Production Planning: Create and organize game notes, team rosters, lineup sheets, stat packs, and other essential materials for the broadcast team.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with broadcasters and sideline reporters to develop engaging pregame, in-game, and postgame segments.
- Live Game Production: Manage the flow of broadcasts by coordinating between on-air talent, camera operators, and technical staff.
- Equipment Management: Assist with setup, maintenance, and teardown of broadcast and production equipment, including production truck operations.
- Livestreaming: Manage YouTube livestream setups, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the broadcast.
- Postgame Support: Edit and distribute recorded highlights, recaps, and interviews for media use and team promotions.
- Creative Design: Contribute to the creation of graphics and video content using tools such as Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced live environment.
- Familiarity with live broadcast production, including audio, video, and lighting setups.
- Experience with production truck operations and livestream platforms like YouTube.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or similar editing and design software is a plus.
- Knowledge of baseball and sports broadcasting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Actively pursuing or completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
