Head Coach Collin Martin

The Saugerties Stallions are thrilled to announce the return of head coach, Collin Martin, for the 2021 season.

Martin’s impressive leadership is shown through a collection of experience, gained both on and off the field. After graduating from Webber International University in 2006, he signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Indians and later signed with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League. His coaching career includes accolades with Florida Southern College, Polk State College, and most recently, a head coaching position at Webber International University. At Florida Southern College, Martin assisted with offensive instruction, base running mechanics, and outfield, ultimately culminating in a 41-win season in 2010 and a No. 1 overall national ranking. His tenure with the Webber Warriors also led to an appearance in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championship Opening Round.

This upcoming season will mark Martin’s fourth year with the Stallions, and his third as the head coach. His extensive leadership and experience with high school and collegiate level baseball has supported individual players and has helped the Stallions program excel. Martin is ecstatic to get started in Saugerties again, and he is looking forward to getting back on the field with the updated Stallions roster. “It’s a very tight knit community,” he said. “We’ve got a very stacked collection of talented coaches coming in that I’m really excited to work with for a multitude of reasons.”

The Saugerties Stallions are a collegiate-level baseball club of athletes with NCAA eligibility from around the United States. The club participates in a 13-team summer league known as the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL). The league was founded in 2010 and consists of teams located across upstate New York.
