ELMIRA, N.Y.- The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League is proud to announce that the Elmira Pioneers and Historic Dunn Field will host the 2018 All-Star Game presented by Hilliard Corporation and STCF on July 18th in Elmira, New York.
This is the third time that the PGCBL All-Star Game will be played in Elmira, following hugely successful outings in 2011 and 2014. Dunn Field is the first facility in the PGCBL to be named All-Star Game host three times.
The 2014 All-Star Game, which saw the East All-Stars take a no-hitter into the eighth in a 3-1 victory, featured over 4,000 fans packing Dunn Field. The two previous All-Star Games played in Elmira have been the two most attended games in the seven-year history of the PGCBL’s Midsummer Classic.
PGCBL President Robert Julian praised the Elmira Pioneer organization, and promised a first-class event for fans across upstate New York.
“For the last six seasons, the Pioneers have been the most dynamic collegiate league organization in New York,” Julian said. “Historic Dunn Field has undergone more than $600,000 in renovations and their fan base is the largest in, not just the PGCBL, but in all of New York collegiate baseball and attendance has been in the top three in the USA. It’s going to be a spectacular, amazing evening.”
The 2018 All-Star festivities will include Scout Day activities, as well as the ever-popular Home Run Derby. The on-field entertainment provided by the Pioneers will be on hand throughout the day as well.
A complete list of all the day’s activities will be released in the near future. Tickets can be purchased from the Elmira Pioneers front office. For more information about the 2018 PGCBL All-Star Game visit
