Summary: The Stallions secure back-to-back run rule victories with a 14-4 win over the Glens Falls Dragons on Monday. The Stallions now find themselves winning five straight, having not lost a game since July 1. Through eight innings, the Stallions scored in all but one, securing three runs in the first and continuing an impressive offensive performance throughout the night. The defense stood out as well for the Stallions, who allowed four runs in the fifth, but shut out Glens Falls in every other inning. With yet another win, the Stallions improve to 17-10 on the season and are 3.5 games back, behind the Amsterdam Mohawks. 

Key Players

Casey Cumiskey (Stallions): Four Stallions had a multi-hit night against Glens Falls, including Cumiskey, who went 3-5 with two RBI and a run. Cumiskey now has at least one hit in three straight games.

Dylan Fitzsimmons (Stallions): Fitzsimmons hit a home run for the first time this season and scored the lone run in the top of the second. In total, Fitzsimmons’ home run is the 12th hit by a Stallion this season, which leads the PGCBL.

Pitching Notes

Derek Constance (Stallions): Constance’s time on the mound may not have lasted longer than three innings, but it was an impressive outing. Constance allowed no hits, zero runs, and recorded four strikeouts after facing nine batters.

Game Conclusion:

The Stallions find themselves on yet another win streak this season, now toppling an opponent for the fifth straight time. With bats throughout the lineup catching fire and the back half of the season underway, these Ponies seem like they can trample any upcoming opponents. They will face their toughest opponent in this latest stretch of success on Wednesday when they once again play the Amsterdam Mohawks.
