Summary: The Stallions lost their third straight game yesterday in a ninth inning comeback to the Glens Falls Dragons, 5-4. The Stallions seemed to be in complete control of yesterday’s game against Glens Falls, leading the Dragons for a majority of the contest. It wasn’t until a two-run home run from the Dragons third baseman Joe Karpierz that the Dragons took a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth. The Stallions couldn’t respond and lost their third straight at home.
Key Players:
Dylan Passo (Stallions): Dylan Passo was 2-5 with a run and a pair of doubles. He continues to impress for the Stallions.
Casey Cumiskey (Stallions): Cumiskey continues his hot streak for the Stallions, going 2-4 with an RBI and a run. He is now seven for his last 15 with five RBI.
Pitching Notes
Andrew Speranza (Stallions): Speranza got the start, shutting out the Stallions through four innings pitched, allowing two hits, four walks and recording two strikeouts.
Game Conclusion:
Despite a relatively clean game for the Stallions, they now drop their third straight. Similar to a losing streak they found themselves on a couple of weeks ago, they just need one win to get them back on track. They have a chance to take two wins on Sunday vs Mohawk Valley, due to having to finish the bottom of the 9th of a game that was previously postponed. The Stallions were leading 3-2 before the games postponement.
Next Game:
Sunday, June 29th: Away vs Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs
First pitch: 7:00 p.m.
