Game Recap: Stallions Trample the Mohawks, 6-2

Summary: The Stallions defeated the Amsterdam Mohawks for the second time this season last night in a 6-2 victory. The Stallions dominated, jumping out to a three run lead in the first inning and then adding three more runs later in the game in the seventh. The Stallions now have won two straight against Amsterdam and jump to second place in the East division with a 10-6 record. 


Key Players:

Dylan Passo (Stallions): Passo went 3-5 with two RBI and a run against the Mohawks yesterday. He has proven himself a productive part of the batting order and will look to continue that productivity against Amsterdam in a rematch tonight. 

Jamie Zee (Stallions): One of the youngest players on the team, Zee is starting to heat up. Against the Mohawks he went 2-5 with 3 RBI and a run. 

Pitching Notes

Team: 

Ryan Franklin (Stallions): Franklin was awarded the win last night against the Mohawks, pitching five innings, gave up four hits, one earned run and recorded a single strikeout. 

Matthew Murtaugh (Stallions): Murtaugh recorded his first save of the season against Amsterdam, pitching four innings, allowing one earned run and recording three strikeouts.

Team note: The Stallions took their fifth win in the past six games in their first double header this season.  


Game Conclusion:

The Stallions continue to roll through the competition now beating the division leading Mohawks for the second time this season. Stallions have now won six of their last seven.
