Location: Mohawk Valley
Date: June 19, 2025
Time: 6:45 p.m.
Summary: The Stallions led the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs 3-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning until weather concerns kept the final half inning of the game from being played. Due to this interruption, the game will now be postponed to June 29th, the next time the Stallions were scheduled to visit the Diamond Dawgs, where the rest of Thursdays game will be played out. Though they did not officially win against Mohawk Valley, the Stallions did have a lead and a chance at a third straight victory. Now the ponies will have to wait until they return to the Diamond Dawgs home field to finish the job.
Key Players (Thru 8.5 innings):
Reece Maroney (Stallions): Maroney was a recent addition to the Stallions and seems to already be making an impact. He went 2-4 including an RBI double in the top of the ninth.
Camren Carroll (Stallions): Another recent addition to the Stallions, Carroll has also been performing well. Carroll went 2-3 with an RBI and a run, contributing to more than half the scores for the Stallions tonight.
Pitching Notes
Ryan Franklin (Stallions): Franklin allowed two earned runs in the first, but that was the extent of the Diamond Dawgs scoring for the night until the game is continued on the 29th. Despite the pair of runs it was still a good outing for Franklin, allowing three hits and recording two strikeouts through five innings.
Jace VanValkenburg (Stallions): VanValkenburg also had a good outing on the mound, pitching three innings, allowing one hit, two walks and recording two strikeouts.
Game Conclusion:
The Stallions are starting to perform the same way they did to start the season. After a rough stretch of games, the ponies seem to have once again found their groove, due in part to the still expanding roster. Though this game is not yet over due to weather concerns, the Stallions should hold onto the momentum they have been building.
Next Game:
Sunday, June 20th: Away vs Oneonta Outlaws
First pitch: 7:00 p.m.
