Location: Cantine Field

Date: June 14, 2025

Time: 7:05 p.m.

Summary: The Saugerties Stallions dominated at Cantine field last night, run-ruling the Oneonta Outlaws in 7 innings with a 14-1 victory. The Stallions had struggled at the plate coming into last night’s matchup with the Outlaws, but had no trouble offensively throughout the game. Stallions infielder Nick Croce recorded his first home run of the season with a deep shot to left field. Croce was one of various Stallions to have an impressive night at the plate, with Saugerties recording 14 runs off of 12 hits.

Key Players

Nick Croce (Stallions): Croce finished the night 2-4 with his first home run of the season. Croce and Outfielder Travis Hobbensiefken are now the only Stallions with a home run this season.

Travis Hobbensiefken (Stallions): Hobbensiefken continues to impress for the Stallions, finishing last night 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBI and 3 runs.

Pitching Notes

Keller Ausbun (Stallions): Ausbun was effective on the mound, pitching four innings, allowing only three hits, one run and recording four strikeouts.

Team Note: This is the second run rule victory for the Stallions this season.

Game Conclusion:

The Stallions needed a big win such as this after previously losing four of the last five games going into their matchup with Oneonta. They next have to face the division leading Amsterdam Mohawks in what will be a difficult matchup. If they can pull off the win against the Mohawks, perhaps the sky is the limit for this Stallions team.
