Summary 

In a dominating performance, the Saugerties Stallions showcased their offensive firepower against the Glens Falls Dragons, securing a decisive 11-1 victory. The Stallions set the tone early, scoring three runs in the first inning and never losing their lead. With strong pitching and timely hitting throughout the game, Saugerties effectively controlled the game, resulting in a 11-1 run-rule victory after seven innings.


Game Highlights 

Early Innings: The Stallions wasted no time, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Mario Trivella and Nate Manley sparked the offense with key hits and aggressive baserunning, setting up early RBI opportunities for Andrew Amato and Justin Ford.

Mid-Game: Saugerties extended their lead in the third inning, adding another run courtesy of Bayram Hot’s single and smart baserunning by Matt McIntire. The Stallions capitalized on Glens Falls’ pitching changes, consistently putting runners in scoring position and converting them into crucial runs.

Breakthrough Fifth Inning: The game broke wide open in the fifth inning, as the Stallions exploded for five runs. Contributions came from across the lineup, with hits from Trivella, Manley, Hot, Ford, and Anthony Marcano. This offensive outburst firmly established the Stallions lead, pushing the score to 9-0.

Late Innings: Glens Falls managed to break the shutout in the bottom of the sixth, scoring one run due to a combination of hits and defensive errors by Saugerties. However, their effort proved insufficient against the Stallions commanding lead.

Closing Efforts: With the game firmly in hand, Saugerties navigated the final innings efficiently, preventing any further scoring from Glens Falls and securing the run-rule victory after the seventh inning.
