Perfect Game, PGCBL to Host Pitcher’s Prospect Showcase at All-Star Game

SAUGERTIES, N.Y.- Perfect Game, Inc. and the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League are excited to announce the first ever Pitcher’s Prospect Showcase, which will be held in conjunction with the 2019 PGCBL All-Star Game. This season’s All-Star Game will be held for the first time at Cantine Field in Saugerties, New York on Tuesday, July 16.

As part of the All-Star Game festivities, the top 15 righthanded and top 15 lefthanded high school pitchers in the nation for the Class of 2020 will be invited to showcase their abilities in front of scouts from across Major League Baseball. These pitchers will be selected by Perfect Game, and will be invited to attend from across the country. The Pitcher’s Prospect Showcase will preceed the All-Star Game festivities, which will include the annual Home Run Derby as well as the game itself.

“Perfect Game is excited to be a part of the PGCBL All-Star Game festivities, including this opportunity for top 2020 pitchers to perform in front of MLB organizations in a beautiful area of the country,” said Perfect Game CEO Brad Clement. “This added opportunity will blend younger prospects with those having great seasons in the PGCBL in front of fans and scouts alike.”

PGCBL President Bob Julian added that the new event will only serve to strengthen the relationship between the league and Perfect Game.

“Our league is proud of our association with the Perfect Game organization,” Julian said. “The Saugerties Stallions have introduced an exciting new dimension to our All-Star Game, providing pitching prospects and scouts with a rare opportunity to be together in one place, which is entirely consistent with the objectives of both organizations.”
