Vince Lakes, Jr. Powers Stallions Past Dutchmen

Both the Saugerties Stallions (10-17) and the Albany Dutchmen (15-15) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Saugerties Stallions that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field.

Vince Lakes Jr. got on base four times in the game for the Saugerties Stallions. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He homered in the third inning.

The Albany Dutchmen had no answer for John Doherty, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Albany Dutchmen managed just one hit off of Doherty, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Jackson Bubala put together a nice outing. Bubala held the Saugerties Stallions hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out four.

Andrew Workman improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Saugerties Stallions. He allowed three runs over six innings. Workman struck out one, walked none and gave up 10 hits.

Jack Grabek couldn’t get it done on the bump for the Albany Dutchmen, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
