For the second time in the franchise’s five-year history, the Saugerties Stallions will partake in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League playoffs. The organization reached the postseason in 2017 but lost in the first round.

Saugerties, NY – On Tuesday, July 16th the annual Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game will be played at Cantine Veteran’s Memorial Complex, home of the Saugerties Stallions.

Six members of the Saugerties Stallions were selected to partake in the 2019 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game, which will take place on July 16 in Saugerties, NY.

UTICA, N.Y.- The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League has released the official schedule for the 2019 season, its ninth serving communities in Upstate New York.

ALBANY, N.Y.- Dylan D’Anna (Siena) struck out nine batters over six and two thirds innings of four-hit shutout ball and the bats stayed hot as the Albany Dutchmen (22-16) defeated the Saugerties Stallions (21-21), 7-0, at Connors Park on Tuesday.

Saugerties, NY- After a two-hour rain delay the night of a doubleheader, the Elmira Pioneers beat the Saugerties Stallions 10-6 Monday night in Saugerties. In a make-up game from a month ago that seemed to be going Saugerties way, Elmira managed to string together 18 hits, including 17 singles.

Saugerties, NY- The Saugerties Stallions hosted the Albany Dutchmen on Sunday, July 22 at 4 p.m. to make way for the closing ceremonies, at 7 p.m., for the traveling Memorial Vietnam Wall which was held behind the centerfield wall at Cantine Field.

Saugerties, NY – In a game that took nearly four hours and featured a combined 10 pitchers, the Amsterdam Mohawks defeated the Saugerties Stallions 7-6, Monday night in Saugerties.

The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) is pleased to announce the rosters for the 2018 PGCBL All-Star Game. The eighth PGCBL All-Star Game is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18 at Dunn Field, home of the Elmira Pioneers, and is presented by the Hilliard Corporation and Southern Tier Custom Fabricators.

In a two-game set at Shuttleworth Park, the Amsterdam Mohawks won game 1 over the Saugerties Stallions, but lost game 2. The Mohawks won a continuation of a game from June 24th which was suspended due to rain with a final score of 11-4. After a 30-minute break, the Mohawks ended the night with a loss, the final score was 5-4.

Saugerties, NY- On Saturday, July 7 the Saugerties Stallions hosted the Geneva Red Wings. Red Wings starting pitcher Jameson Moran (RIT) faced off against Stallions starter Austin Dreher (Daytona State), in a matchup which the Stallions would hold onto win 6-4.

LITTLE FALLS, NY – The temperatures were high at Veteran’s Memorial Park on Friday, but inside the gate, the Saugerties Stallions continued to be hotter than the rising mercury.

Saugerties, NY- The Saugerties Stallions hosted the Jamestown Jammers for an Independence Day match-up between Trevor Lloyd (Tusculum) for the Jammers and Nick Zwack (Xavier) for the Stallions, which Saugerties would win by a final score of 3-2.

Saugerties, NY – The Stallions took their first long roadtrip of the season and visited the Elmira Pioneers for a cross division match-up. A seventh inning two run Home Run by Easton Bertrand (University of Minnesota) was enough to seal the 5-4 vicotry over the Pioneers and make it a win streak of four aftering starting the season with six straight loses.

Glens Falls, NY- The Glens Falls Dragons put their modest two game winning streak on the line at East Field Friday night against the Saugerties Stallions. Saugerties was looking for their first win of the year. The game took 10 innings to complete, but when the dust settled the Stallions had a “W’ in their column as they earned a 10-6 victory.

UTICA, N.Y.- The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League has officially announced its new playoff structure, finalizing the road the league’s 13 teams will need to travel to claim the PGCBL Championship. In the new format, seven teams will advance to a three-round postseason.

I still remember my assistant coach telling me that there was some guy from the Perfect Game League that wanted to talk to me. I had already set my mind on finding an internship for the following summer and moving away from life as a baseball player. My first two collegiate years didn’t go as expected, and I was ready to begin moving on with my life. I told my coach it wasn’t going to happen.

On Thursday night the Saugerties Stallions played against the Adirondack Trailblazers. Saugerties starting pitcher John Clayton (UAlbany) threw six shutout innings, earning the win in the effort.

After the announcement of Saugerties resident, Tom Whitaker, being named Head Coach of the Saugerties Stallions; Whitaker took very little time to name his Pitching Coach in former Saugerties High School standout, Steven Freer.

After an extensive search, the Saugerties Stallions are proud to announce Saugerties own, Tom Whitaker, as the new Head Coach for the Saugerties Stallions. Tom brings a lot of baseball experience and knowledge to the dugout and we are excited for him to lead the Stallions into the future.

The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League and the New England Collegiate Umpires group announced today a three-year agreement for NECU to provide umpires to the PGCBL.

The 2016 PGCBL season was action-packed and yet another one to remember. “2016 was a great year on and off the field. We eclipsed the previous league attendance record and successfully brought in three new teams to the league. We continue to grow and look forward to making 2017 even better for our fans,” said PGCBL President Jeff Kunion.

In their second season of PGCBL play, the Saugerties Stallions brought in a wide talent pool of players to compete during the Summer baseball season. Kevin Hinchey, Owner of the Stallions, purchased the team in October 2015 with a vision to make this team a member of the Saugerties community. He did just that by increasing the attendance at each game a providing a family friendly atmosphere on any given night at Cantine Field. We look forward to the 2017 season!

Members of the Stallion’s visited the Albany Medical Center Children Hospital before a game in Albany. Each player walked around the wing giving gifts to children.
